It is time for another visit to Disney-MGM Studios, this time in October 1996. Today, we know the park as Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but this was long before the name change. It appears that we did not spend all that much time in Disney-MGM Studios on this park, or at least I did not take that many photos during our visit for whatever reason. But let’s take stroll down memory lane and enjoy some of that Florida sun!
Today, we take a look back at our visit to Epcot at Walt Disney World in October 1996. The 25th Anniversary celebration was not quite as evident at Epcot as it was at the Magic Kingdom, but then Epcot had only been open for 14 years, and it was not meant to be the focal point of that celebration. Here is what we saw during our trip.
Spaceship Earth is always a good place to start at Epcot, since it is right at the main entrance.
Although we had just been to Walt Disney World in June 1996, Laura and I returned to Florida in October 1996 for another visit. There were several reasons for this trip, but one of them was because Walt Disney World began celebrating its 25th anniversary on October 1, 1996. That seems like a long time ago now that they have already had the 50th anniversary, doesn’t it? Here are some photos from the Magic Kingdom during that trip.
